Assisting the SCTPP Commission
There are a variety of committees that play a critical role in the development and implementation of the SCTPP program:
The purpose of the Nominating Committee is to assure the nomination process and election of candidates to the Certification Commission is conducted properly.
The Eligibility Committee is responsible for reviewing denials or unusual circumstances associated with interpreting eligibility requirements for the SCTPP examination and earning certification, and for making recommendations to the Certification Commission regarding the relevance and purposes of the eligibility criteria.
Ethics & Discipline
The Ethics & Discipline Committee is designed to help ensure that issues regarding a certified person’s practice and conduct are fairly and reasonably investigated and determined, and to protect the public against unprofessional and unethical conduct by certified persons.
The Examination Committee is responsible for the examination contents, development, maintenance and delivery, and the processes associated with these activities.
The Recertification Committee is responsible for reviewing denials or unusual circumstances associated with interpreting recertification requirements.
The Scheme Committee is tasked with reviewing findings from the Job Task Analysis and the Competency Requirements, and developing requirements for eligibility to take the exam, recertification requirements, and tenets of the Code of Ethics. Professionals from these organizations served on the committee:
